Facilities Manager - Warehousing and Asset Management 

The Facilities Manager will play a critical role in maintaining our warehousing and distribution facilities’ physical infrastructure and operational readiness. This role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure the facilities are conducive to the efficient movement of goods, accurate accounting of assets, upholding of safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Efficiency: Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse layout, storage solutions, and traffic flow to maximize operational efficiency.
• Inventory & Asset Management: Lead and Manage inventory management teams to ensure proper storage and organizational conditions for client- and company-owned inventory assets. 
• Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of all warehouse and distribution spaces, including the building structure, equipment, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and grounds.
• Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to schedule and coordinate facility repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.
• Safety Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for employees and compliance with industry regulations.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining a high standard of the facilities' maintenance and safety standards.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including fire, evacuation, and natural disaster procedures, and conduct regular drills.
• Staff Management: Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and sustainable practices within the facilities.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Proven experience (10 years) in facilities management, preferably in a warehousing and distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in using facility management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team and collaborate with various departments.
• Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
