Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facilities. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of all building systems, managing maintenance staff, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of facilities management, and a proven track record in project management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies to optimize building operations
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of equipment
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for outsourced services
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for staff and visitors
- Collaborate with other departments to support their facility-related needs
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a diverse team
- Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and equipment
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical approach
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
