Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Facilities Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Summary:

    The Facilities Manager oversees all programs related to maintenance and repairs throughout the
    company. Coordinate capital projects installation ensuring deadlines are met.

    Responsibilities:

    • Must be hands-on with facility occurrences such as plumbing, electrical, etc
    • Manage projects and employees in the Facilities Maintenance department
    • Use project management principles to ensure that resources are available to meet the job
    schedule
    • Participate in and support annual strategic planning and productivity project initiatives
    • Monitor and control monthly costs to the plan
    • Optimize business processes and ensure compliance
    • Maintain strong relationships with service vendors

    Facilities & Chemical Maintenance Responsibilities:

    • Create capital expenditure requests to update, replace equipment and infrastructure as
    needed
    • Ensure the facility including infrastructure and machines are in proper working order
    • Develop overarching preventative maintenance system resulting in minimizing
    emergencies
    • Communicate important issues and concerns to operations management in a timely
    manner
    • Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of the overall facility and

    grounds utilizing strong root cause and corrective action principles

    Requirements:

    • Must be a U.S Person
    • High school diploma, Bachelors a plus
    • Demonstrated ability in Facilities management with 5 years experience
    • Knowledge of quality specifications, tools, and equipment
    • Computer proficient, including Microsoft office

    Qualifications:

    • Exhibits a positive, proactive attitude with a sense of urgency; follows through and gets
    things done with minimal guidance while adhering to company policy and guidelines
    • Excellent communication skills, and responsiveness
    • Ability to guide the successful completion of programs and projects to upgrade facility
    • Knowledge of facility and maintenance requirements
    • Understanding of regulatory rules and safety requirements

    Essential Mental/ Physical Demands:

    • Standing for long periods in a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to list and carry up to 50lbs
    • Must be able to climb ladders/stairs
    • This position is expected to be 100% onsite with occasional local travel to customers or

    supplier for drop off or pickup

    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent
    at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is occasionally high.
