Responsibilities include:
1. Fleet Management
-Develop and implement maintenance schedules for company vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
-Coordinate with mechanics to conduct routine inspections, repairs, and servicing of all fleet assets, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
-Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and usage patterns to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
-Manage vehicle registrations, inspections, and insurance policies to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
-Utilize GPS Insight to track vehicle and equipment locations, monitor usage hours, and identify maintenance needs proactively.
-Submit daily logs using Procore to document maintenance activities, repairs, and facility inspections.
2. Facilities Management
-Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of company facilities, including offices, storage areas, and job sites, to ensure a safe and functional working environment.
-Coordinate with maintenance staff to address repair and maintenance needs promptly, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.
-Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of facility assets.
-Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes in all facility-related activities.
3. Personnel Management
-Supervise and mentor a team of mechanics and runners, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to support their professional development.
-Coordinate work assignments and schedules for mechanics and runners to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
-Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability within the fleet and facilities department.
4. Inventory and Procurement
-Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for fleet maintenance and facility repairs.
-Coordinate with procurement staff to source and purchase equipment, parts, and materials as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
-Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels, usage rates, and reorder points.
5. Budgeting and Cost Control
-Develop and manage budgets for fleet maintenance, facility repairs, and associated expenses, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
-Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings through efficiency improvements, vendor negotiations, and alternative sourcing strategies.
