Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Planner
Experience and Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Planning (or similar equivalent field).
· AICP and/or PP license or an interest/goal to obtain them.
· 1-5 years of experience in Land Development, Zoning, and Planning.
· Candidate should possess good communication, verbal, and technical writing skills.
· Candidate should be comfortable with public speaking.
· Understanding of zoning ordinances, Municipal Land Use Law, Master Planning, Affordable Housing, and Redevelopment Plans in New Jersey.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities.
· Working with the Director of planning to support municipal clients in writing Master Plans, Redevelopment Plans, Housing Plans, and Investigation Studies.
· Assisting with the review of site plans and subdivision applications for Municipal Land Use Boards.
· Assisting in drafting amendments to zoning ordinances.
· Preparing visuals and presentations for public meetings.
· Creating streetscape and architectural design standards.
· Present reports to municipal officials and staff, and the general public.
