Facilities Planner plans building or refurbishment projects focused on effectively utilizing spaces and resources to support the organization's physical facility and space needs. Conducts evaluations of current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and produce feasibility studies. Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. You would also:- Plan future proactive work for the maintenance craft.
- Develop and continually improve job plans, preventative maintenance and TPM activities and the follow up work.
- Work with the maintenance team to update documented maintenance PM’s for all plant equipment and work with Maintenance Manager to eliminate failures through root cause failure analysis.
- Work with engineers on upcoming projects and plan activities that will include maintenance labor and material with their projects.
- Update and maintain equipment history records in system and equipment history files.
- Provide unput and support to maintenance department, purchasing, and parts staff, entering JDE and Fastecrib requisitions.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience you need:- GED or High School diploma required.
- 5 years of maintenance experience or completion of technical college degree in related field.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems.
- Possess analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated track-record of collaboration on projects, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with / or establishing a team.
- Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities
