Facilities Planner plans building or refurbishment projects focused on effectively utilizing spaces and resources to support the organization's physical facility and space needs. Conducts evaluations of current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and produce feasibility studies. Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective completion of all maintenance projects in the mill during regular and annual maintenance days, through the planning of such projects. The Maintenance Planner has a role in improving workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access in order to promote excellence as established in the Company vision, mission, and values.
What you will do:
Responsible for the safety of all employees and more specifically the maintenance team members and contractors working on a maintenance project.

Additional tasks that Planner may assist with but are not part of their core responsibilities
Responsible for working together with the Mechanical and Electrical team leaders.
Responsible for the planning of daily maintenance operations in the mill.
Responsible for the efficient and cost-effective short and long-term planning of maintenance projects.
Responsible for continuous improvement and cost-control in their area of responsibility.
