The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Program Development & Statewide Planning is looking for a Planner 1/2/3 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
Base salary for:
Planner 1 ….. $ 27.14 / Hourly
Planner 2 ….. $ 31.22 / Hourly
Planner 3 … $ 2,698.50 / Bi-weekly
What you will be doing:
This Planner 1/2/3 position serves as the Northern Region's (Fairbanks Field Office) promotion, development, and implementation of the department's capital program for the DOT&PF Northern Region. Under direct supervision of the Planning Manager and guidance of the Transportation Planners, the incumbent will conduct complex planning studies; compile project background reports, project status reports, project nominations packages, and white papers; and assist in the preparation and revision of Alaska’s multi-year surface transportation, aviation, and other modal system improvement plans and programs for a specific Northern Region planning sub-area. The incumbent will represent DOT&PF to assure that transportation facilities, systems, and needs are adequately addressed.

Requires regular travel within the State (normally one trip of up to three days occurring monthly or every other month). Occasional out-of-state travel may be needed to attend conferences or meetings.

Planner 1
