Conducts evaluations of current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and produce feasibility studies. Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team at Temple Beth Abraham (TBA). As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. This is an on-site role based out of TBA’s two Nashua buildings and comes with a highly flexible schedule with generous compensation. The typical schedule will be 10 to 20 hours per week with some night and weekend hours required.
This is a part-time hourly position. There is no set schedule of working hours, except when requested and needed by the community in support of the job responsibilities. The person or persons who take this role must be self-starting and organized and able to manage their own schedule and priorities with minimal daily input and oversight.
This position reports to the Office Manager and will be working closely with the all-volunteer community leadership, such as the House committee, as well as the small, but highly dedicated TBA full-time staff.
