FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. JOB PURPOSE
Ensure existing facilities are well maintained and repaired.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Facilities Supervisor II shall:
Fire Inspection Issues; exit sign light repairs; battery replacement for backup lighting; door and hardware adjustments & repair; key and key control assistance; electrical repairs, minor moves, adds, and changes, small wiring projects, & low voltage; appliance repairs; banner and sign installations; HVAC minor moves, add, and changes, a/c filter changes; drywall repairs; minor carpentry; moving books, files, boxes, classroom furniture; replacing light bulbs, ballasts & fixtures; painting projects; ceiling tile replacement; playground maintenance, athletic areas, grounds repairs; equipment audits, building inspections; safety issues, repairs; small landscaping projects; additional items as they arise.
ACCOUNTABILITY PROCEDURES
Regional Manager of Facilities Support Team will assess the effectiveness annually with respect to the performance of specific responsibilities.
**MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED**
Due to the requirements for the Facilities and Custodial Support Teams to ready all facilities for an emergency encounter, after notice of, but prior to, any Storm, Natural Disaster or other emergency, employees desiring PTO must document a Special Need, either an illness, dependent obligation or other issue. These issues and the need for early PTO are to be approved at the sole discretion of Management. Any leave taken without Approval and/or documentation identifying the reason, constitutes Job Abandonment and is grounds for termination under this policy.
