FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. General Description
Responsible for providing administrative and technical leadership to all personnel in the Laboratory and Pathology as well as coordinate activities with other departments. at Welch Community Hospital. Must be familiar with hospital and laboratory equipment and computer systems. Prepare solutions, reagents, stains and medias needed for testing. Initiate and promote administration policies and procedures for the Laboratory Department. This includes scheduling, evaluation and recruiting. Calibrates laboratory and diagnostic equipment to ensure accurate functioning and quality control. Performs medical laboratory tests such as routine urinalysis, pregnancy test, coagulation test, CBC, sedimentation rate. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position, as well as other job related duties not listed. Welch Community Hospital is a smoke-free facility. Applicants selected for employment must complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test; as well as pass a background check.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Licensure/Certifications: West Virginia Licensure as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) OR West Virginia Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Practitioner - Medical Laboratory Scientist (CLP-MLS).
Experience: Two (2) years experience as a Laboratory Assistant or Medical Lab Technician and/or working in a laboratory environment involving research and/or testing.
