FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Duties & Responsibilities


    -The Facilities Engineer under general direction, recommends approaches to building HVAC System Design, control systems, operations, and maintenance.
    -Provides technical leadership in developing, planning, and managing building design and construction projects.
    - Prepares plans and specifications for facility projects.
    -Prepares preliminary designs and project cost estimates.
    -Teams with engineers and project managers on special projects.
    -Provides technical leadership within workgroups or projects as required.
    -Reviews drawings, specifications and procedures for accuracy and acceptability.
    - Reviews construction management schedules and budget processes.
    -May direct construction projects, or other projects such as office layouts, relocation of furniture and equipment, etc.


    - 40% - Construction inspection for required conformance

    - 20% - Assist in preparing project drawings, specifications and scope-of-work

    - 20% - Assist in estimating project costs and/or prepare capital expenditure requests

    - 10% - Preparing purchase requisitions for respective projects, tracking project costs, and other administration matters

    - 10% - Other required duties as assigned.



    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
    - We are seeking a Facilities Engineer (Senior to Specialist) to join the team at our growing facility near Camden, AR.

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:

    - Project planning and management of schedule and cost experience

    - Proficiency with AutoCAD

    - Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.

    - Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.

    - Strong verbal, written and presentation communications skills.



    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.) in a safe manner. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with fume or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses, goggles, face shield), foot protection (i.e. steel toed shoes, rubber boots, etc.), gloves, hard hat, shop coat and hearing protection. Some positions may require Respirator clearance up to and including the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Level A clearance. Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. Work duties may also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer and/or the ability to travel by air or auto. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

    EDUCATION:
    Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline plus at least five (5) years of directly related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).


    OTHER REQUIREMENTS
    Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Driver's License Requirement: Some positions may require possession of a valid driver's license. Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver's license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the Company.
