Job Summary
To provide family counseling services for families and couples to meet their psychosocial needs. To run a parenting group of up to 15 clients to provide parenting support and education classes.
Primary Duties
. Complete diagnostic assessment for each individual client to determine appropriateness for parenting classes.
· Facilitate parenting classes, and individual therapy, couples therapy, and family psychotherapy as needed for clients on caseload.
· Assist patients with appropriate community planning and follow up treatment.
· Discuss and review individualized care plans with patient.
· Be an active and participating member of the treatment planning.
· Act as an advocate for all patients and families as appropriate.
· Create and foster a work environment that is consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Simply Amazing Family Environment.
· Supports strategic organizational goals.
· Abide by the S.A.F.E. Code of Conduct at all times.

Qualifications
· Graduate of approved school with a master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field. LPC, LSW, LISW, LPCC
· Experience in CBT, DBT and group psychotherapies.
· Current licensure in the State of Ohio
· One year experience in an out-patient treatment setting.
· Refined written and oral communication skills.
· Knowledge of managed care concepts in relation to financial aspects of patient care.
· Must be able to cope with the emotional and mental stress of the position and deadlines imposed on specific duties.
· Refined organizational skills with a well-developed style of diplomacy, assertiveness, and a tolerance for ambiguity.
· Able to use critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities and an understanding of systems and change process.
· Able to function independently, with autonomy, displaying personal integrity and always maintaining confidentiality.
· Able to work with all levels of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
· Refined negotiating skills and the ability to deal with conflict resolution.
· Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to delegate tasks.
· Functions in the role as patient/family advocate, intervening as needs indicate.
· Dresses in professional manner.
Working Conditions
· Works 8 to 10 hours per day, adjusting hours to meet the customer’s needs.
· Must be in good physical and mental health and maintain an excellent attendance record.

· Is subject to frequent interruptions during performance of duties.
· Must be able to utilize computers / word processing.
