Advises about types of counseling services available and makes referrals to service providers. Additionally, Family Support Counselor may require a bachelor's degree in human services related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Family Support Counselor work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Experience working with youth and experience in a day treatment setting is preferred. Our Therapist help children & adults with significant behavioral & mental health needs to succeed and thrive in a structured setting. They will provide individual/family, group treatment, and crisis intervention services with clients in the program. They collaborate with treatment team to assist clients in achieving success and provides education to support team. There may be some on-call responsibility to assist clients and families after program hours in times of crisis.
