Wage: $14.45-15.83/hr dep. on experience
Probation: Subject to a 12 month introductory (probationary) period

POSITION SUMMARY: The Missoula Family Y is hiring after school counselors! If you are friendly, creative and reliable, and want to make a difference in kids' lives this could be a great fit for you. The hours are Monday-Friday, 2:30-6pm, earlier on Thursday, at least three (3) shifts per week. The After School Counselor I is enthusiastic and creates a safe, fun environment for children ages 5 years through 12 and will teach and model YMCA character values and sportsmanship. Under the guidance of the School Age Assoc. Director and onsite lead counselors, the After School Counselor I is responsible for providing and implementing a high quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum in specific program areas, ensuring children’s social, physical, spiritual and mental development in the program. Applicants must like working with children, be self-motivated, good communicators. They must be able to thrive in an environment with the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization and work with general supervision.
