Substance Abuse Counselor

Cornerstone Support Services LLC, located in Indianapolis, is a home and community-based agency working with the Federal Probation Department to provide substance abuse counseling to individuals who are pre- and post-conviction. Cornerstone Support Services LLC is seeking a full or part-time Substance Abuse Counselor to work as an independent contractor. Enjoy the flexibility of setting your own schedule!

Purpose of Substance Abuse Counselor:

The Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for assessing and providing treatment to individuals struggling with addiction issues. The role of the Counselor is to support individuals on their journey of recovery by educating them on the skills needed to maintain long-term recovery.

Qualifications:

• Experience with substance abuse counseling or working with individuals with addiction issues.

•Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling, Psychology, Social Work.

Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and individualized treatment plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and unique client needs.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment through the ongoing assessment of the client and his/her natural supports that may result in modification to the service plan.

• Coordinate care with Federal Probation Officer, completing documentation necessary to secure services, maintain chart compliance, etc.

• Completion of monthly treatment summary.

• Act as a liaison between Probation Officers and patients, as needed.

Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
