Job Summary
The Family Partner assesses families’ strengths and needs, provides parenting education, and makes service referrals as needed. This position enhances family functioning by building trusting relationships, teaching problem-solving skills, providing information, and improving the families’ support systems. Services are comprehensive and well-coordinated; staff will be cross-trained in other systems to understand a family’s needs and make appropriate referrals. Practice is empowerment-based, helping families and also solving external issues such as housing and employment. The Family Partner may facilitate Parent Cafes. THIS POSITION IS A ONE-YEAR GRANT FUNDED POSITION WITH THE POTENTIAL TO EXTEND TO THREE YEARS
Essential Job Duties
· Advocacy Services – works as an advocate for families by providing support, resources, and parent guidance. Provides in-home evidence-base parenting curriculum; models/practices positive interactions
· Provide peer support and encouragement to participants
· Participates in meetings/staffings relating to case decisions, i.e., Family Team Conference, IPT, Grant-related meetings
· Facilitate Parent Cafes
· Other Duties
Minimum Qualifications
· GED or High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
· Proven combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to lead, manage, enhance, and promote the assigned programs of the agency. Have personal unique, lived experience that can assist with guiding and supporting others.
· Valid driver’s license, and Certification as a Peer Specialist is a plus.

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid schedule post probationary period-90 days)
