About your Role:
As our Family Support Specialist (FSS), you will work with children/youth ages newborn to 17 who are in foster care or transitioning back into the home, and their foster and birth families, or caregivers. In this position, you will work with the client and involved parties in the community and in their homes to conduct an initial intake and create, implement and assess the child’s treatment plan for services to successfully transition. Services will include linking the child/youth and their family with community resources, educating the families and client on behavior management techniques, providing parenting skills training, and encouraging the foster and birth families to co-parent and transition the child/youth successfully. You will be provided regular supportive supervision for case collaboration.
