Advises about types of counseling services available and makes referrals to service providers. Additionally, Family Support Counselor may require a bachelor's degree in human services related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Family Support Counselor work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. A Typical Day as a Foster Care Family Support Worker:
Location:
292 N. Chambers St. Galesburg, IL with willingness to travel and spend several hours in the field visiting client's homes, communities, and attending court. This office provides services to the following counties: Knox, Warren, and Henderson

Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served
