Family Support Counselor identifies and coordinates the delivery of support programs and solutions for families in crisis to meet their financial, educational, social, and emotional needs. Interviews families to assess needs and their eligibility for assistance programs and services. Being a Family Support Counselor helps to navigate the application process and outlines the requirements and benefits of programs or services. Advises about types of counseling services available and makes referrals to service providers. Additionally, Family Support Counselor may require a bachelor's degree in human services related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Family Support Counselor work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Thrive Family Services is a fast growing counseling agency with 4 office locations: Clover, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and Lake Wyile, SC. We are looking for fully licensed Professional Counselors, Clinical Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists to join our team. We are in need of professionals who are willing and able to work more than 20 hours a week as a contracted counselor. We need flexibility between the hours of 3pm and 7pm.
It is preferred, but not required, that the individual be credentialed with South Carolina insurance panels. We will help with this process if credentialing has not been obtained for the applicant after a contract is signed and commitment given. If you are not credentialed, the start date will be delayed. Outpatient therapy may take place in the office, via Teletherapy, in the schools, and the home if needed.
We would like individuals who are comfortable working in all settings. As an independent contractor you will be responsible for your being in communication with your client caseload, keeping an up to date schedule (scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling clients), completing all documentation within the time frame required, and carrying your own liability insurance. - 26 Days Ago
