Farm Equipment Mechanic inspects, maintains, repairs, assembles and overhauls farm machinery, equipment, and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, pumps, tilling equipment, trucks, and other mechanized equipment. Applies mastery of skills in area of specialization. Being a Farm Equipment Mechanic requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Works under general supervision. Additionally, Farm Equipment Mechanic relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals. Responsible for assistance in day-to-day operation of the SEMA Garage-Detroit, including support of the Emissions Lab, Install Center and ADAS Research facilities. Must have familiarity with all forms of engines, must be willing to learn how to perform driving cycles on a dynamometer for FTP, US06 and SC03 drive traces, and become familiar with ADAS equipment functionality. Mechanic will be responsible for installation of aftermarket products and general maintenance and repair of vehicles under the direction of the Lab Manager, ADAS Engineer or General Manager.
