Our services primarily include earthwork, sitework (mass excavation, building pads, sub-grade prep), and underground utilities (water main, fire line, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and detention systems). We're located in Newark, Ohio with a majority of work in Columbus, Licking County, and surrounding area.

| Summary of Role Description |

Seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform inspections, diagnostic testing, repairs and maintenance on various construction machinery, heavy & light duty trucks and trailers, equipment accessories and more. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.

• Full-time, daytime hours, Monday-Friday.
• Benefit eligible.
• Clean shop located in Newark, OH.
• Newer, well-equipped service truck provided for ability to make on-site repairs.

| Duties & Responsibilities | (including but not limited to...)

• Efficiently perform diagnostic testing, repairs and maintenance on various types of construction machinery (excavators, dozers, rollers, skidsteers, and more), heavy/ light duty trucks and trailers, equipment accessories and more.
  • including but not limited to: hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, motors, valves using hoists and hand tools, engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, electrical troubleshooting, change oil.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to determine the root cause of problems.
• Conduct inspections of mechanical products, equipment, and vehicles often to identify potential issues, or after repair/ assembly to ensure equipment is in safe working condition, lubricate and service as needed.
• Check, fill, and/or change appropriate fluids for all equipment parts and check/change filters.
• Collaborate closely with other team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Order, maintain inventory, and install all parts as needed or as directed.
• Independently perform on-site diagnostic, repairs and maintenance as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

| Knowledge and Skills Requirements |

• High School Diploma /or equivalent.
• 3 Years of Mechanical Experience (preferably construction related)
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude & Problem-Solving Skills
• General Knowledge of Equipment Components & Systems
• Ability to Work Independently & Manage Time Effectively
• Physically Fit & Capable of Heavy Lifting, as needed.
• Valid CDL (can obtained once hired)
• 10-Hour OSHA (can obtain once hired)
