Farm Equipment Mechanic jobs in Stockton, CA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned

• Prepare professional sales quotes, accurate pricing and required background materials to sell material handling whole goods
• Secure proper authorization from Management for quotes and non-standard transactions
• Actively prospect geographical territory for new customers, this will require “cold calling” regularly
• Consistent contact with existing customer base and provide service to all customers regardless of territorial location, provide leads for all J.M. services and products
• Attend all deliveries and demonstrations, personal inspection of equipment, ensure delivery paperwork/contracts are complete prior to delivery
• Educate customers on needs and usage once purchased
• Assist Rental Department and Collections Department as needed
• Expeditious handling of lease documents, PDI forms, credit applications, and contracts
• Fulfill Saturday Sales Department responsibilities (one Sat per month, minimum)
• Accountability to management in the form of daily activities, call sheets, prospecting, goalsetting and accomplishment
• Accurately manage trade-ins with regard to values and documentation
• Appropriate handling of lease with maintenance contracts including quotations, plant surveys assessing operating conditions or limitations and estimated hours

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• College degree preferred
• Intermediate to Advanced computer skills

Physical Requirements: must be able to meet the following physical demands

• Walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist
• Lifting requirement to a maximum of 50 lbs.

Other Requirements:

• Forklift Certified (or ability to be certified)
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Minimum Personal Auto Insurance Coverage
• Ability to work independently
• Good Communication and Customer Service Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 per year
