Fashion Designer is responsible for executing the fashion design strategy for an organization. Creates and manages multiple fashion design projects from conceptualization to finished product and ensures projects are aligned with the brand's identity. Being a Fashion Designer presents design concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders. Effectively communicates design details to the product development and production teams. Additionally, Fashion Designer determines final style, material, and color based on input from sales/marketing, merchandising, development, and manufacturing teams. Ensures fashion designs meet high-quality standards and adhere to approved guidelines. Keeps abreast of consumer needs and trends. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in apparel/fashion design or related field. Typically reports to a manager. The Fashion Designer work is closely managed. - Coordinate with owners, contractors, and engineers from the initial planning stages through final construction.
- Determine design criteria using relevant codes and standards.
- Develop contract documents, including construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Produce schematic and detailed designs and evaluation of planning and concept alternatives.
- Coordinate building department and other government agency application paperwork and filing.
- Review shop drawings, RFI's.
- Perform field inspections and write inspection reports.
Skills and Qualifications:- Familiar with latest version of AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Entry Level Candidates:- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading.
Intermediate Level Candidates:- Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 3 years of related work experience in residential and commercial building.
- Familiar with NYC zoning, building and energy code.
- Capable of coordinating a complete set of construction documents.
Advance Level Candidates:- Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 8 years of related work experience in residential and commercial building.
- Familiar with NYC zoning, building and energy code.
- Capable of manage entire project from initial planning to final C/O.
- NYS RA License.
