We are currently seeking a full-time architect or architectural designer to join our team. Professional experience is a plus, but not required. An ideal candidate lives in or is willing to relocate to southern Vermont, and should be self-motivated, reliable, curious, and eager to learn and grow professionally. You will be involved with every aspect of our projects, working closely with the principals throughout the design process.

Qualifications
· A professional degree in architecture, landscape architecture interior design or a related field from an accredited institution
· A strong working knowledge of SketchUp and the Adobe Suite is required; proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus
· Visual awareness and an eye for detail
· Strong architectural portfolio
· Working knowledge of construction materials, finishes and details
· Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
· Confidence and willingness to learn new skills and software, sometimes independently
· Motivated self-starter, interested in growing your role within our existing framework
Responsibilities
· Developing, modeling, and rendering design concepts according to each client’s programmatic needs and aesthetic preferences
· Production of schematic design, design development, detail and construction drawings
· Preparing design presentations (including mood boards, 2D and 3D drawings, architectural renderings)
· Assisting with design process - sourcing, implementation, and installation
· Researching, presenting, and specifying furniture, fixtures & equipment
· Participation in construction observation and administration
· Performing field visits/measurements, site visits, coordinating with consultants, manufacturers, and subcontractors
We encourage a collaborative studio environment; the majority of the week must be in-office, but some remote work is possible.
Compensation is competitive, commensurate with experience and education. 401k and vacation/sick time is standard.
