Fast Signs is looking for a graphic designer and sign builder to join our fast-paced, and creative shop in Plaistow NH. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to expand on their graphic design knowledge, portfolio, and have an inside look into a sign production company. We are a great small team with a valued customer base. We take pride in our work and are willing to train the right candidate. We are seeking candidates who enjoy working with their hands and working with customers through the design process from initial sketching to completion of signs including: yard signs, decals, business signs, banners, car lettering, large scale decals, etc.

Job Description:

• Work with customers to design logos and graphics, layout text, images and other graphic elements for print
• Set up files to print including trim marks, plotter marks, bleeds
• Assembling different types of signs onto different substrates including metal, coroplast, and PVC
• Measuring, taping, weeding vinyl, and cutting of substrates for sign preparation
• Reading shop drawings
• Answering phone calls, taking customer orders
• Correspondence with customers throughout their order as well as using our order management system to track customer orders
• At times, assisting with lettering or applying decals to vehicles or other automobiles at the shop
• General shop upkeep including vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning and replacing blades, maintaining printing equipment
• Possible marketing opportunities including managing our website, Facebook, and Instagram

Requirements:

• 1 year of graphic design experience; college graduates are encouraged to apply!
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design preferred or equivalent experience in a production/design setting
• Working knowledge of Adobe CC with a focus in Illustrator
• Able to listen to directions clearly and precisely
• Knowledge in some marketing practices a plus
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time as well as cutting large signs, moving substrates and large rolls of vinyl/laminate around the shop
• Measuring up to the 1/16th inch accurately

Pay: $16 /hr depending on experience

This is a part-time position on location in Plaistow NH. Our shop hours are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.
