Field Engineer - Construction delivers on-site technical oversight support to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineer - Construction follows quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consult with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineer - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Field Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. SUMMARY
The project engineer carriers the responsibility of supervising all engineering personnel and project engineering functions. The project engineer demonstrates a through understating of the contract drawings, specifications, subcontract agreements, major purchase orders, bid estimate, job schedule, and the overall scheme for construction of the project. The project engineers establishes liaison with the comparable level personnel of the project owner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises lead engineers and field engineers on assigned projects. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and all federal/state laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or Construction Management, from a four-year college or university is required. Marine Construction Industry experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
COMPUTER SKILLS
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word/ Excel/Outlook; be experienced with scheduling, estimating, computer-aided design (CAD) and project management software- HCSS & Primavera, preferred.

This position will require relocations or travel depending on the project location and requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position is primarily a field position, and will require travel, including visits and monitoring of construction job sites. Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or up to 50 pounds. Must be able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time.
