Field Engineer - Construction delivers on-site technical oversight support to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineer - Construction follows quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consult with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineer - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Field Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Field Technician

    Are you a hands-on individual with a passion for ensuring construction sites operate seamlessly and safely? Our family-owned commercial construction management firm in Connecticut is seeking a dynamic and skilled Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient, effective, and safe jobsites throughout the Northeast. If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, possess excellent organizational and carpentry skills, and are ready for a new challenge, we want to hear from you!

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Temporary Partitions and Safety Barricades: Erecting and maintaining temporary partitions and safety barricades, and jobsite signage to ensure a secure and hazard-free work environment.

    • Job Site Organization and Clean-Up: Contributing to the organization and cleanliness of construction sites to enhance efficiency and safety standards.

    • Light Carpentry: Undertaking light carpentry tasks as needed to support ongoing construction activities.

    • Punch List and Warranty Work: Completing punch list and warranty work to ensure project completion and client satisfaction.

    • Project Management: Managing and supervising small projects independently, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards.

    • Site Superintendent: Acting as a site superintendent when required, overseeing day-to-day operations and coordinating with project teams.

    • Plan Reading Skills: Preference will be given to candidates with strong plan reading skills.

    • OSHA 30 Certification: Preference will be given to candidates with OSHA 30 certification.

    • Travel: Daily travel to jobsites throughout the Northeast is a fundamental aspect of this role, with occasional overnight travel as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a construction-related role, with a focus on on-site labor assistance.

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

    • Carpentry skills and a good understanding of construction processes.

    • Ability to manage and supervise small projects independently.

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    • Flexibility for daily travel and occasional overnight stays.

    • Plan reading skills (preferred).

    • OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
