Job Description
Job Summary:
At Scull Construction, the Project Engineer will offer technical information to the Project Supervisor and Project Manager to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications. May coordinate change orders, expedite material and job site equipment, assist in the preparation of estimates and compile data to assist in analyzing project progress. Inspects all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
This position will work side by side with the Project Manager or Lead Estimator to facilitate communications and keep all stakeholders on task and informed. The Project Engineer will be involved in scheduling subcontractors and insuring correct and timely delivery of materials for multiple projects in multiple locations. Regular interactions will occur with subcontractors, suppliers, architects and owners.
Alternatively, you may start in estimating. The Estimator I will gather, calculate and compile data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates, preparing routine estimates under general supervision. Maintains current, accurate information on processes from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, price lists, etc.
As a Project Engineer/Estimator I you will be entered into a training program. The program will provide the individual with experience in the supervision, management and estimating curriculums within the construction industry. The goal of this training is to develop the individual to assume either the supervision or project management career track in the future.
