Field Engineer - Construction delivers on-site technical oversight support to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineer - Construction follows quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consult with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineer - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Field Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. FIELD carries out its mission through a continuum of educational programs such as our EPIC de Cesar Chavez High School. The EPIC de Cesar Chavez High School Substitute Teacher must possess preparation in teaching a culturally diverse population using language acquisition strategies utilizing synchronous and asynchronous instruction. The Substitute Teacher must have the knowledge and ability to teach core content area classes either in an online environment or in a self-contained classroom using direct instruction. They must also have the ability to individualize instruction according to the needs of adult learners.

    CLASS SCHEDULE

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but not limited to the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    • Prepare multiple subject lessons, with lesson plans, in varied core classes to a diverse student population in a self-contained classroom setting.
    • Implement online multiple subject courses utilizing the Canvas learning management system.
    • Observe, evaluate, and assess adult student performance and development in an online and/or in-class environment.
    • Assign and grade online and in-class work, projects, test and assignments.
    • May maintain a classroom gradebook in the Aeries student information system using accepted standard grading criteria.
    • Maintain and submit appropriate and required student records in a timely manner.
    • In coordination with the school counselor, provide information to students relative to employment, career opportunities and continuing education.
    • Manage a self-contained classroom setting when applicable, and encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
    • Participate in development of activities designed to promote an innovative learning experience for students.
    • Conduct culturally relevant online classes appropriate for diverse adult students from variety of cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and economic backgrounds.
    • Understand, teach, and adhere to FIELD’s core values.

    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other professionals in a team setting.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writing.

    MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

    · Must have tuberculosis (TB) clearance or obtain TB clearance before beginning work.

    · Must be able to pass fingerprinting (Live Scan) and criminal record clearance by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 30-Day substitute permit, multiple subject or single subject teaching credential required.
    • Previous experience working with rural farm working communities preferred but not required.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must have valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Must be able to travel as needed/required.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
