Field Engineer - Construction delivers on-site technical oversight support to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineer - Construction follows quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consult with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineer - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Field Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Jr. Construction Field Assistant Summary : Assisting the Construction Manager in the daily procedures of the project. To walk homes to ensure the work is done per instructions.

    Coordinating with office and maintaining accurate written records. Cross training in other disciplines (customer care and forward planning) as needed, enabling candidate to progress into other positions in construction management.

    Responsibilities Assist Construction Manager in all aspects of the construction job from trench to move-in Assist with the supervision of trade partners from rough, finish, detail, and preparation for final orientation Perform on-site inspections of the various trade partner’s work to ensure that the level of quality is being complied with Assist Construction Manager in maintaining records of job changes, including option orders and Purchase Orders Maintain daily log of job site occurrences Assist in the evaluation of trade partner’s and product performance.

    Provide ongoing information to Customer Care Manager and Assist Construction Manager as it relates to quality of workmanship Coordinate with Customer Care Representatives regarding quality and walk-through preparation of homes for move-in, ensuring timely home completions and deliveries Assist in the maintenance of a clean job site for trade partners, take direction well;

    and able to use hand tools Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications One (1) year of homebuilding experience preferred High school diploma or GED preferred Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required Some Construction knowledge preferred Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required Basic skills in Microsoft Office Excellent organizational skills required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail oriented Follow directions from a supervisor Understand and follow work rules and procedures Accept constructive feedback Team player with strong work ethic Physical Requirements : Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day, the ability to operate a motor vehicle and light construction equipment, read plans, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and / or carry supplies which may be in excess of 50 pounds.
