Patriot is a diverse engineering firm providing geotechnical engineering, environmental, and construction materials testing services and consultation to commercial, industrial, and governmental clients. Construction Materials Field Testing Project Manager position is a salary position, which requires strong communication and organizational skills along with a working knowledge of the services we provide. Patriot Engineering has offices in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

Job Description:

The following criteria are general requirements of the individual who would fill this position:

·Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Minimum 3 years’ experience without degree

· Working understanding of the material testing industry in regard to geotechnical engineering, soils, concrete, masonry, structural steel, welding, fireproofing, asphalt inspection, and floor flatness testing.

· General understanding of ASTM, ACI, and INDOT, ODOT, or KDOT standards as it relates to construction materials testing.

· Proficient with project documents and print review.

· Working knowledge of computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite are expected.

The Project Manager is required to:

· Set up projects, write proposals and prepare engineering reports for our clients

· Manage budgets and prepare change orders

· Be able to write general and specific material(s) recommendation

· Trouble shoot testing and material(s) problems

· Perform takeoffs for materials testing estimates

· Cover the field as required
