Position will be based in Submarine Base - Bangor, WA. Test Engineer will support the USS Jimmy Carter (SSN23) and the Mission Systems and Trainers at COMSUBDEVRON 5 in Bangor, WA. Assignments and responsibilities include: Person-In-Charge of software and hardware testing; performance of preventive and corrective maintenance on training systems; lead both pre-job briefing and Job Hazard Analysis briefings; actively participate in the planning & execution of work; support documentation of work & certifications; maintain water chemistry in a maintenance pool.
The successful candidate must be willing to learn and understand the Navy's tag out process, JFFM requirements, EB record keeping, Quality Assurance, configuration management, the Navy’s supply system, and adapt to evolving information technology. Candidate must also be willing to go on brief business trips and occasional extended work assignments. Work requires lifting, pulling, extensive walking, confined space entry, and ladder climbing.
