Being a Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed. Additionally, Field Service Engineer develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Answers basic customer questions about product features. May provide some customer training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Service Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Job Description
    As a Hypercraft Field Service Engineer, you will be the frontline of helping customers integrate our EV Drivetrain Products. You will have the technical aptitude to diagnose and troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with mechanical, electrical, battery or software settings. 

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Work professionally with end-users. Communicate technically complex subjects with clarity and simplicity. Able to build trust cross-functionally, navigate customer hierarchies, and influence teams
    • Master a technical system and support it in automotive, marine, or aerospace environments. Must demonstrate an innate drive to be self-sufficient across the breadth of a technical system.
    • Ability to develop operational and logistics plans to move equipment, parts and tools quickly, over long distances, in unfamiliar locations

    REQUIREMENTS:


    • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Marine or related technical field (or hands on technician experience that brings you to the equivalent level of expertise)
    • Strong aptitude for problem solving in unstructured situations at the interface of hardware, electrical, software, and connectivity. Ability to drive challenging and vague technical problems to clarity and resolution.
    • Naturally inquisitive, able to independently research and learn new technical components or concepts.
    • Strong aptitude with tools and electronics
    • Willingness to travel and interface with customers
