Field Service Engineer provides on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment. Being a Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed. Additionally, Field Service Engineer develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Answers basic customer questions about product features. May provide some customer training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Service Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Courier/Field Tech? General Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
This position is based out of our Sharpsville, PA office. As a Courier/ Field Tech you will be responsible to travel to the clients and providing assistance in collecting environmental samples.
Essential Job Functions - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Follow sampling and pick up schedule provided by Supervisor.
Travel to pick up and/or collect client samples.
Follow specific instructions pertaining to the type of sample being collected -surface water, groundwater, soil, wastewater, or drinking water.
Prepare bottleware orders including appropriate preservatives, labels, and packaging.
Complete appropriate related paperwork.
Comply with safety rules and regulations to include determining proper handling procedures of sample.
Perform additional projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required - Must have ability to effectively verbally communicate with clients and the public. Ability to work independently with strong initiative and focus. Safely operating a motor vehicle and provide excellent customer service. While performing duties of job, incumbent is required to stand; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, bend and/or twist; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift, push or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
