Field Service Manager manages field service personnel to provide effective on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Plans and oversees installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of products/equipment to ensure proper function and maximize uptime. Being a Field Service Manager oversees the scheduling and training of field service representatives. Handles service contracts and directs support services. Additionally, Field Service Manager develops methods, guidelines, and policies to facilitate efficient service delivery. Reviews service reports to monitor service performance and enhance customer satisfaction. Ensures all customer issues are satisfactorily resolved, utilizing engineering, manufacturing, and other teams as needed. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Field Service Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to develop and supervise a team of field service technicians and 3rd Party Service Providers. As a Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our field service operations as well as maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. Primary Responsibilities: Recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of 3rd Party service providers Develop and supervise a team of Field Service Technicians in various locations throughout the US. Coordinate field service tasks with technicians based on their skills, availability and location. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of technicians and 3rd party service providers providing feedback, coaching and training as needed. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. Communicating with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of field service projects. Preparing and reviewing reports and other documents related to field service activities. Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards and regulations. Standard Work Schedule: This is a hybrid position that will work in the office two days a week and from home three days per week. Starting Monthly Salary: $7180 - $8980 Compensation based on the skills and experience of the candidate. Qualifications: An Associates degree is required. At least 5 years of experience in field service is required. Prior supervisory experience highly preferred. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are a must. Demonstration of the ability to coach and motivate others. Ability to review facts and weigh options in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of the issues. Ability to work in a time-sensitive setting and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software. Must possess a valid driver's license. This position involves some travel to various locations. The travel frequency and duration may vary, but it is usually not more than 25% of the working time. Possess the ability to lift/climb/stoop with weights in excess of 125 lbs. Possess the ability work at heights (Roofs, Ladders, etc.). Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals and technical documents including blueprints and wiring diagrams.
