Summary :
Monitors and participates in the preventive maintenance, electrical safety, and equipment repair programs for basic and/or specialty medical equipment. Has comprehensive knowledge and is experienced in most or all facets of job. Has intermediate level of expertise. Capable of assisting less-experienced technicians.
Responsibilities :
• Maintains current knowledge of organization’s policies and procedures. Adheres to governmental and industry specific regulations/laws. Maintains appropriate related documentation. • Provides excellent service with focus on patient and/or customer experience and ensures all functions related to customer service supports the department, member organization, and patient related goals • Prepares, maintains, and distributes documents or information. • Attends education sessions, workshops, and other continuing education opportunities to enhance or gain new skills. • Identifies and advocates for improvement to processes within the department and organization when identified. • Performs tasks according to established guidelines to ensure quality goals and standards are met. • Creates and disseminates reports to appropriate personnel. • Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed. • Works with members of the team or department in an effective and efficient manner. • Manages relationships with vendors at level commensurate with position • Performs routine inspection, repair, and maintenance to ensure the effective and efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
Other Information :
- Able to show a basic level of proficiency in at least 4 of the core HTM specialty areas (General Biomed, Dialysis, Respiratory, Laboratory, Anesthesia, OR, Lasers, Sterilization, and Imaging)
