JOB SUMMARY :

The Warehouse / Inventory Specialist is responsible for developing and managing people, processes, and systems while ensuring productivity targets are met and maintaining proper inventory levels to meet the demand of our customers and technicians to provide the expected high-quality service levels.

This position will also deliver the parts to the service techs at various client sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and manage those procedures for receiving, shipping, distribution of parts to technicians, and warehousing of parts in a timely and effective manner;
• Communicating with technicians, customers, suppliers, and transport companies;
• planning, coordinating, and monitoring the receipt, order assembly, and dispatch of goods;
• Evaluate current and planned future business to adjust inventory to meet turn goals.
• Collaborate with part managers to place orders when stock falls below minimum levels and discontinue ordering if an item rises above the maximum or becomes slow-moving
• Setting min / max levels and adjusting as needed
• Identify slow-moving or dead stock and pursue ways to move it
• Set inventory cycle count levels (A, B, C) and maintain
• Oversee cycle counts for warehouse and truck fleet to include training and managing warehouse staff to complete these tasks efficiently
• Maintain documentation and reports on inventory counts
• Maintaining stock control systems up to date and, making sure inventories are accurate, and ensuring that stock status reports dollar figures are correct and make sense while working with accounting to ensure proper valuation monthly
• Ensure our suppliers meet our receiving standards in terms of quality and quantity
• Review the reorder reports on a bi-weekly basis to establish inventory is at the proper levels
• Ensure the truck fleet maintains appropriate levels of stock to strive for high first-time fix rates while managing overall investment in truck inventory

Qualifications :

• Experience in inventory management
• Valid driver's license
• Degree in supply chain management or a related field or a combination of education and experience
• Previous experience in a similar role in a service industry
• Proficiency in inventory management software,
• Experience in conducting physical inventory counts and implementing inventory control measures
• Working knowledge of highway and local state area routes
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
• Forklift operation experience a plus.
