SUMMARY
This is an opportunity to join a growing, dynamic and responsible company that fosters the development of our employees. We are seeking a Field Service Supervisor. Position will be based in Louisville, KY and role is not eligible for relocation assistance.
This role will work with some of the largest and most successful companies in the world and will receive top notch training on industry-leading fire alarm systems and fire suppression equipment. Our Field Service Supervisors make use of both their leadership and their technical skills by working both in the field and in the office. They are responsible for guiding Field Service Technicians in their region and assisting with day to day operations for their territory in addition to higher level service work for fire alarm and/or suppression customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job.
- Lead a group of Field Service Technicians for a designated area.
- Participate in hiring and mentoring for new team members.
- Take a lead role in the coordination and execution of major services.
- Perform service on the majority of OPS System brands and applications.
- Communicate with customers as required for service coordination or problem resolution.
- Perform all inspection and testing tasks on fire alarm and special hazard fire suppression systems according to OPS work instructions.
- Record inspection and test results in company’s electronic inspection program.
- Respond to emergency service requests and take appropriate action.
- Perform in depth trouble shooting, repair and replacement of system equipment.
- Oversee OPS personnel in coordination of service activities.
- Review inspection and test results with the customer.
- Conduct training with customer on the functionality of the fire system.
- Assist in installation and commissioning tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Five years’ experience in servicing electrical/mechanical systems in the fire alarm or special hazard fire suppression industry, required.
- Experience reading blue prints, required.
- Associate degree in electronics or related field, preferred.
- NICET Level I (Fire Alarm or Special Hazard) required; Level II certification, preferred.
- Experience with the following manufacturers: Kidde, Fenwal, Notifier, Fike, FCI, preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
- This is a remote position that would be deployed from the associate’s home to local job sites for installs, service, or repairs.
- Company vehicle, tools, technology, and equipment provided.
- Occasional on-call days and/or overtime required for unscheduled service needs.
- Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places.
- Overnight travel required up to 25% of the time.
