    General Duties

    Responsible for the overall daily supervision of their assigned programs and/or workgroup to ensure that they meet company, and project quality, cost, and schedule requirements.


    Essential Job Functions

    • Serve as a contact for customers, vendors, and Program Managers;
    • Ensure the necessary steps are taken to mitigate risk to aircraft, equipment, personnel, and facilities, when the Production Manager II deems the weather of other environmental conditions require additional precautions be made;
    • Mentors lead technician to be better leaders;
    • Monitors and approves employee time sheets;
    • Promotes a positive team environment;
    • Ensure assigned programs maintenance, modifications, and installations are accomplished within assigned budgets and schedules while maintaining high standards of quality, manpower and facility efficiencies;
    • Coordinate required efforts with Program Management, Quality Control, Planning, and Production Control, and other support staff personnel;
    • Assist with process definition/improvement and related technical support functions to establish strategic plans and objectives;
    • Manage activities, coordinate, assign duties, provide leadership and review the work of assigned staff including contractors;
    • Conduct group meetings with employees to ensure active team member communication;
    • Manage employee schedules to ensure manpower availability for their assigned program requirements;
    • Ensure company policies and objectives are maintained to high standards;
    • Develop key metrics to help drive the workforce towards unified program goals;
    • Ensure all assignments are accomplished within assigned budgets and schedules while maintaining high standards of quality, manpower and facility efficiencies for assigned personnel. Direct oversight for assigned program or staff;
    • Drive Lean continuous improvement initiatives at the program level;
    • Ensure company policies and objectives are maintained to high standards including all AS9100, ISO, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Ground Flight Risk (GFR), and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) guidelines.
    • Supervise all assigned employees and demonstrate responsibility for the evaluation, performance management and hiring of assigned employees.
    • Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays.


    Skills and Experience

    • Required: Two (2) years Leading/Supervising teams on complex United States Department of Defense programs or FAA Part 145 Repair Station efforts.
    • Candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
    • Knowledge and experience related to close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures.
    • Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair

    Education

    High School Graduate and technical school is required. Bachelor's Degree in Management, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

    The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    The employee is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

    The employee is frequently required to function in close quarters, crawl spaces and shafts that could cause claustrophobia.
