QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Social Work or Psychology or advanced training in Child Protective Services or Dependency Services required. Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling preferred. Experience working with children and/or families, and collaborating with other community providers required. Experience and/or knowledge of areas of child development and child welfare services required. Experience working with children and families in multi-disciplinary teams required. Good community networking skills, public speaking skills and written and oral communication skills required. Familiarity with personal computer word-processing and databases required.
GENERAL DUTIES: This Supervisoryposition is responsible to ensure delivery of high quality of professional case management services following the Specialized Adolescent Assessment Unit (SAAU) model as specified in the contract. This is a non-traditional position requiring non-traditional and flexible scheduling, to include evening and / or weekend hours, based on the needs of the client families. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.Under the direction of the Chief Program Officer, the incumbent will have the following specific responsibilities:
a) Have full knowledge of the agency's functions and services.
b) Coordination of SAAU program operations.
c) Adhere to SAAU program goals, objectives and values.
d) Distribution, completion, collection, compiling and analysis of program evaluation instruments.
e) Scheduling and participation in regular service program team meetings.
f) Maintaining positive relationships with community representatives, collaborative partners, and team members.
g) Represent FSA and the service program at community meetings.
h) Recruit service program staff.
i) Attend to scheduling and logistical needs of programs, to include monthly statistics and billing.
j) Attend Court hearings as required.
k) Interface with all involved service providers, to include educational, faith-based and occupational, to assure the continuity and quality of services provided.
l) Maintain accurate client service records, to include reporting data needed to complete the FSA SAAU quality assurance and outcomes reports.
m) Participate in planning and execution of family meeting activities during non-traditional hours.
n) Successfully complete training in the SAAU model and such other related training that will further the goals and objectives of this community systems program.
