Field Superintendent - Construction jobs in Lowell, MA

Work directly with project superintendents and supervisors to assist with on-site  tasks and assignments.  This is a great opportunity to watch building construction first hand.

While participating in the day to day tasks, there is an opportunity to learn about the importance of planning to the flow of the project.

Logs and checklist for quality and schedule

Work with the Field Supervisor on plan reading and subcontractor applications

Qualifications

• Candidate for an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent education/experience
• Full-time or Co-op experience in the responsibilities described is a plus, but not an absolute requirement
• Ability to navigate rough terrain, stairs and a building in progress.
• Strong desire to learn from others and a willingness to participate in in-house, on-the-job, and other training to be successful
• Must be computer literate and experience with related in-house programs (Prolog Manager, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
• Experience using CAD a plus
• Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, staff, vendors, and others
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Able to project a positive image of the company at all times
