Field Superintendent - Construction oversees the daily construction activities of contractors, foremen, and workers at a work site to ensure projects follow schedules. Coordinates the procurement, delivery, and placement of materials and equipment on-site as required to execute each phase of a construction project. Being a Field Superintendent - Construction follows construction schedules and monitors daily and weekly progress to ensure project milestones are achieved. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions to keep the project on track. Additionally, Field Superintendent - Construction directs or conducts inspections to audit the quality of workmanship and materials and compliance with specifications and standards. Completes the required status, change, or timekeeping reports. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a project manager. The Field Superintendent - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Field Superintendent - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Our Central Oregon office is looking for an experienced full-time Residential Construction Superintendent to join our team. The Superintendent will assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day activities at various residential construction projects. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of hands-on residential construction supervisory experience and a deep understanding of construction processes and techniques. Some of the tasks and responsibilities expected are:
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on-site
- Manage, schedule and oversee subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans and specifications
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates using our in-house construction management software
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Review schematics, blueprints, and other construction documents
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Implement and enforce proper safety protocols on-site
- Maintain a clean and orderly job site.
- Assist with carpentry or other tasks as needed
