WA Patriot Superintendent
Position Description
LEADERSHIP
- Responsible for protecting and promoting the interest of WA Patriot in all matters.
- Strive for sharing in the WA Patriot culture to LEAD, BUILD, SERVE and LIVE
- Assist in early stages of project in planning and scheduling activities (Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.)
- Assist with determining the means and methods of accomplishing the work. (A leader will see an answer to every problem.)
- Be proactive in the identification of potential problems and recommend solutions. (Learning from past experience.)
- Provide centralized leadership and guidance at project level (Take charge of the future).
- Use resources within and outside the organization to accomplish responsibilities in the most effective manner (Two heads are better than one.)
- Keep Oversight informed on status of projects. (Report on both good and bad.)
- Develop a team atmosphere and promote partnering concepts in coordination of and performance of work activities. (Don’t strive for sameness, strive for balance in all areas.)
SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT
- Develop, update, and manage the CPM Schedule.
- Issue Short Interval Schedules in conjunction with Subcontractor Coordination Meetings.
- Develop Site Plan for access, egress, field offices and laydown areas.
- Develop and Implement WA Patriot Site Specific Safety Plan.
- Perform Daily Quality Assurance and Safety Inspections.
- Produce daily Construction Status Reports with copies to main office.
- Identify potential problems, issue appropriate documentation (i.e. RFIs) and recommend solutions.
- Coordinate Submittal and Shop Drawing review to include overseeing those that do this activity in support of your efforts.
- Develop and track budgets as identified with WA Patriot upper management.
- Coordinate all field activities.
- Participate in meetings as required.
- Assist in Job Cost Forecasting effort.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent of a commercial construction Firm.
- Experience with scheduling and project planning.
- Experience with scheduling software and Microsoft; P6 or Microsoft Project, Excel, Word.
- Experience running projects from 1 million to 20 million.
PREFERRED
- Construction Related Degree preferred but not necessary.
- Experience with Federal DOD Government contracting.
- Certified and experience with EM 385-1-1.
- BIM experience is beneficial
- Construction Quality Control Management for Contractors Certification is a benefit (QCM course through Army Corps of Engineers).
- Motivated, self-starter who wants to seek growth, knowledge, challenges, and a place to find community and give back to it.
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Salary will be based on experience. Range $100,000 - $125,000
