The person in this position is responsible for scanning documents in patients charts on a daily basis; opening, closing and maintaining records; ensuring all required documentation is scanned into constraints; maintaining the security of the medical records; must be familiar with HIPPA rules governing the receipt and disclosure of protected health information. Oversees the medical records departments in the absence of the supervisor; general clerical duties and other duties assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE

• Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D required.
• Some business or commercial college preferred.
• Considerable knowledge of office practices.
• Knowledge of clerical functions.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail; work with special population; type accurately; communicate effectively with professional clinical staff.
• Demonstrated organizational skills; ability to lift up to 44 pounds and work in a very fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Texas Driver License required.
• Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Must be insurable on the Center’s insurance.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to complete all MHMR Concho Valley training.

SHIFT:  Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
