Being a File Clerk may be responsible for performing related clerical duties. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, File Clerk typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The File Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The File Clerk position is responsible for processing incoming/outgoing mail, processing invoices, copying/scanning, posting, filing of legal documents, create file folders, answering phones and helping in other various areas. It is a fast pace and high volume environment with sensitivity to deadlines. This position will communicate some with customer questions and our branches.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
    • Processing Server invoices
    • Copying, posting and filing legal documents
    • Scanning Documents into the system
    • Create File Folders/ Enter new accounts into the system
    • Answering phones
    • Closing out files to send to storage
    • Helping others in various areas when time allows.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Microsoft Windows and Outlook experience
    • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and high volume environment
    • Ability to work cooperatively with a team
    • Highly organized with great care to detail
    • Ability to multitask
    • Basic mathematics skills

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Efficient verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
