JOB SUMMARY
This Clerical Specialist/File Management Clerk position has the primary responsibility for management of physical files, filing of case documents, preparation of documents for case files and monitoring the office filing system to ensure all documents are handled appropriately.
The position requires an understanding of all types of documents and acts as the final check to ensure each was processed properly.
The Clerk also reviews the documents themselves to ensure all directives have been met.
This position is also responsible for maintenance of archived files and ensuring accuracy of digital record prior to destruction of physical files.
The File Management Clerk also acts as the conduit of files between the Prothonotary Office and the Courts.
Duties may include scanning and docketing prior to delivery of file to Court and review of files for any necessary follow-up by the Prothonotary staff.
Other tasks will include general docketing, scanning and phone/mail assistance in addition to processing of fees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Office experience that included data entry
Any combination of equivalent education, training and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to type / keyboard at least 40 wpm accurately.
