    REPORTS TO: Members Technology Solutions, Manager

    LOCATION: Corporate Office

    COMPENSATION: The starting hourly wage for this position is expected to be between $16.50-$17.50 per hour. The actual hourly wage will be determined based on experience and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

    HOURS: 22.50 hours per week

    SCHEDULE: Wednesday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm


    Position Overview


    The Scanning Clerk has three primary functions, each of which entails multiple responsibilities. The first primary function will be the imaging of documents, up to and including preparation, organization, indexing and scanning. Additionally, the duties include, but are not limited to, filing, photocopying, logging items, and maintaining file folders. The second primary function is the importing of files to Synergy from other departments. The third primary function is to maintain the 1st floor file/stock room and keep organized. This also goes for any other stockroom that we utilize.


    Essential Functions


    Scanning Area Essential Functions

    • Thorough preparation of documents to be scanned
    • Accurate scanning and indexing of pertinent member documents
    • Perform at or above daily numeric scanning objective as directed by management
    • Perform quality control of own work, as well as that of others
    • Import files to Synergy
    • Store and purge scanned documents as designated by procedures in an organized manner
    • Train employees as needed on imaging system
    • File member information which includes priority loan information (i.e., member denial information, member cancellation information)
    • Scan indirect loans and mortgages
    • Assist Member Technology Solution team1 with SSI and DSI verifications
    • Keep file/stock rooms neat and organized


    Other Responsibilities

    • Be available to work overtime or come into the credit union when requested by management, or upon notice of emergency.
    • Participate in special projects or related duties as assigned by management
    • Adhere to credit union and department procedures

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience - Applicants must possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience:

    • Basic PC skills preferred (Windows, Excel, or Word).
    • Must have High School Diploma/Equivalency and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an office setting


    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including Technical & Systems/Equipment Proficiencies)

    • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with efficiency.
    • Must possess a high level of dependability.
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Must be a mature individual with ability to ensure the integrity of confidential materials.


    Physical Requirements/Work Environment

    • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to bend to ground level and lift objects, up to 10 – 25 lbs.
    • Must be able to bend to file at different levels
    • Must be able to frequently use a keyboard to enter data
    • Must be able to utilize and view a PC and monitor for an extended period of time while scanning
    • Must be able to frequently use a keyboard to enter data
    • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision

    Licensure Requirements

    • In compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act) and the statute’s regulations, applicants must be eligible to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO). Candidates being considered will be subject to a credit check and fingerprinting.
