Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Temporary File Clerk. As a File Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing physical and electronic files, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Sort and file Court pleadings, correspondence, and other documents in accordance with established filing systems
-Scan original documents into client files and make copies for attorney review
-Retrieve pleadings from online Court portal
-Open new client files, close client files, and prepare files for storage or transfer to new counsel or for return to clients in accordance with established filing systems
- Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain electronic databases and physical pleading indexes
-Assemble trial binders as needed (copying, hole-punching, tabbing, placing in binders, etc.)
- Utilize computerized systems to create labels and store electronic documents
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with company policies
Experience:
- Previous experience as a File Clerk or in a similar administrative role is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in data entry and order entry processes
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Familiarity with computerized systems for document creation and storage
