Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Finance and Operations is a member of the agency’s senior management team and serves as a strategic partner in planning and implementing the future vision for the agency. The Director of Finance and Operations must be both a hands-on worker and an excellent leader, working closely with the BTQ staff and the in-house team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for collaborating with BTQ Financial, overseeing internal finance staff and supporting the finance-related needs of MercyFirst’s program leadership team, and managing procurement and various operations functions at the agency. MercyFirst has contracted with BTQ Financial Services (www.btqfinancial.com) to manage all accounting and claiming operations and to serve as the organization’s fiscal “back office.” As MercyFirst’s primary Liaison with BTQ, the Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for all the financial activities of MercyFirst, including but not limited to the agency’s financial reports, budget, contract reimbursement claims, billings and audits. In addition, the Director of Finance and Operations will oversee the procurement/purchasing and operations needs of MercyFirst. This includes working closely with program leadership on purchasing, the contracting process (review, execution and tracking), portal management, business operations vendor relationships, and special projects, as needed.
